What to expect on Sunday Morning

We worship at 9:30 every Sunday. Boronia Park Uniting Church is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, so make yourself at home. There are four Kids and Family Worship services and Youth Full Worship services yearly. We also observe special day such as Mother's Day, Anzac Day and NAIDOC Week. Each service is a little different. You can try them out and find the one that feels "just right" to you.

Here's a helpful list of what you can expect to experience when you visit on Sunday morning from when you pull into the parking lot, getting around the church, following along in worship, and the all-important coffee and chat after the service.

Parking

We have parking spots at the church: 7 including one disabled parking space right in front of the church. You may park your car on street parking and council carpark at the back of shops next door. We are about 50m the local bus stops.

Public Transport

Our worship centre is located in the heart of the Boronia Park CBD and a mere two minutes walk from the closest bus stop.

Entrance and Bathrooms

When you enter the church through the main entrance, you’ll enter the lobby area. You’ll see people welcoming you, and notice boards with church news and information about upcoming events and programs. Male and female bathrooms and disability and family toilet are there for you.

Worship Services

Worship happens in the main auditorium. Sit anywhere and feel free to come with your kids and friends. All are welcome. Our services include readings from the Bible and a message from our preachers. We have Communion every first Sunday and on Easter Sunday. Boronia Park Uniting Church believes that everyone is welcome to receive Communion.

Everything you need to follow along with the worship services is projected on the large screens in the worship centre. All the parts of the service are clearly laid out and the worship leaders provide additional guidance and explanation throughout the service.

Sunday School and Youth Group

If your child will be coming to Sunday School for the first time, please contact our Sunday school helpers. They will make sure you find the right area and meet you there to welcome you and introduce you to the leaders. On your first visit to Sunday School and Youth Group we’ll ask you to sign in our Visitors Book, so we know how to reach you. If your child comes more consistently, and we hope they do, we have an information consent form we ask you to complete.

Music

Our musicians on piano, keyboard, guitar and vocal provide the music with a combination of traditional hymns and songs taken from contemporary Christian groups like Hillsong and Stuart Townend. Special musical ensembles, including our Youth Group Band plays and sings on various Sundays and service through the year.

After the service

We'd love you to stay around after the Sunday Service, share great coffee and chat with us. If you're new to Church make yourself known to our welcomers (you would have seen them at the beginning of the service) and we would love to give you more information about our Church.
